This summer, I have been tossed out of a cannon and faced with some amazing personal and professional successes. I got to go to the Just For Laughs festival in both Toronto and Montreal. While there, I loved, lived and competed in the Homegrown Comedy Competition, which I was lucky enough to win. But this was not the moment I will tell my grandchildren about.

The Cowgirls take up sailing – in the Canadian Championships.
This past weekend, the Cowgirls crewed at an international sailing regatta based in Kingston, ON – known as CORK. We’d never been in a race before, and yet miraculously we were scheduled to appear on two different J105’s named Thunderstruck and Sonic Boom. We were then weighed, measured, and thrown aboard with our sea legs shaking – but still determined to maintain an even keel. And now, without any further embarrassing nautical puns, here is what we learned on our three-day excursion:
