How to fake your way through making a delectable and impressive dessert.

Dessert’s a bitch to make. All the measuring and timing and fussing only to end up with something that disappoints the eyes as well as the palate. A good go-to is berries with whipped cream – drizzle some maple syrup on top or crushed Skor bar and you’re good to go. However, if you want to try something that really looks good and is incredibly easy to make, then try one of these instead:

It’s quite easy to fall in love with Ashley Rowe‘s designs. They’re elegant and feminine, yet casual and comfy – all handmade in Toronto by the designer herself. This fashion-forward filly has been featured in all the top mags, blogs, newspapers etc. and is now launching her latest collection, the SS11 on October 14th. Sitting with her at the Drake Hotel, we learned all about her journey, her inspirations, and her new line – or at least, what she’d give away about it.

She finds herself an older man. A delicious, pepper-haired, thick-torsoed gentlemen who pays for her nights out and wants to exploit the mundane quality of life most people tend to fall into. She is completely taken by him – ravenous for his hands to grab her around the waist and mark his territory. She dissolves into a libidinous mess while he tugs on her hair and kisses her hard; getting all hot and bothered when he talks about politics or business of the grown-up sorts and bends over to kiss her ankle.

Our interview with the punniest guys in Toronto, the Pungents!

Sitting down with founders Patrick Tanzola and Rhain Louis of Pungents.com (Canada’s top pun website), we weren’t sure what to expect on that brightly punny day outside U of T‘s Hart House. Nursing our coffees, we were suddenly caught off-guard when a massive hawk swept down beside us, grabbed a small mouse from the garden, and flew off – nearly causing us to hawk-up our lunch.
