Ossington’s about to get a dose of Top Shop. Question is: can we handle it?

It’s been brought to our attention that come June 19th, there will be a Top Shop collection appearing inside Ossington boutique: Jonathan & Olivia (pause for squealing). It may not sound like much, but this is exactly how they tested their market before launching the superstore in Soho, NYC. It’s all so very exciting and yet terribly terrifying. Think about it Toronto; this happened with H&M, Abercrombie, and Sephora – once we have it, it’ll lose its appeal.
We’ve stopped shopping at H&M solely because of its availability – everyone on the street is wearing it. It’s our city’s uniform. Sure, that sounds like a massive success for the brand financially, but in the end, we’ll all move on to rarer gems. Will Top Shop follow the same, unfortunate route? Will it lose its top spot in our hearts?
