The Cowgirls are feeling a little underappreciated today.
Sometimes all it takes is a click of a button to seriously drag us down. We’ve had this from the beginning: one-star, thumbs-down ratings within five minutes of posting an interview. We’re not here to discuss politics or controversial topics, we’re ponies for goodness sake. Normally, we brush it off our shoulders and keep our chins up. But now, with our resident Veterinarian on the verge of marching out of our ranch, we feel the need to address this.
Who are you out there? Every article we post, you immediately give us the one-star punch (this one most likely included). If you hate us that much, explain why in the comments – that’s what they’re there for! We embrace constructive criticism, hell we’ll even agree with it. We make mistakes, we change them, we buck it out of our systems. But when all we have to go by is a thumbs down, that doesn’t give us much to work with.
So is a thumbs-up the new hug? Are we simply losing that mushy feeling we once had for each other? It seems as if communication has reached an all-time low. We are now dumped in emails and text messages as opposed to over coffee. We tweet about what we’re eating for lunch instead of telling it to the waiter. So in a world of introverts, the bloggosphere seems to be no exception – we now click instead of type.
Your thoughts? Your words? Sorry for the rant, but we’re a little clicked off.
XoXo

Me thinks the blog world is one of perpetual negativity. I suspect that the one person that hides behind their veiled computer identity has their own personal issues that they want to take out online. But classic to the internet pessimist, they will never reveal themselves because outside their web bubble they are a small person with insecurities large…I don’t blog or forum or comment (barely even facebook), but this one exception where I will raise my hand and call a person out. Perhaps I’m being hypocritical; I don’t care.
Keep up the good vibes mushy pony and ignore the douchiness that will persist online. (And especially the resident veterinarian: likely a majorly smart hot babe!)
Aw thank you Andrew! And thank you voters!! Made our day. Our sexy Veterinarian will hopefully stay with us after hearing this – sometimes we just need a little encouragement :)
Don’t take it personally! I had SOO many negative ninnies on my blog… there are plenty of people reading MP who love it, even if they forget to give a thumbs up.
Good thing im atheist!
