The Age of Aquarium.
Because the Fireplace Channel is totally passé.
Bell wasn’t making it up – they really do offer “the most HD channels in the country”. So it shouldn’t come as any surprise that there is not only an Aquarium Channel, but a French Aquarium Channel. Unlike the Fireplace Channel (showcasing spectacular footage of a single log burning away), AQUAH introduces us to the tropical aquarium our TV could have been. And by the way, we’re aware of the sarcastic undertone of this article, but after drinking like fishes, we’ve actually become quite thrilled about it.

Beauty in Technology
Our interview with new media installation artist: Rich Gilbank.
What you’re looking at in the above photo isn’t a collection of Klu Klux Klan hats. Instead, they are Anthros: stationary tentacles that gravitate towards any person standing nearby. The artist behind this installation, Rich Gilbank, has incorporated technology (using human-centric applications) in order to create interactive artwork. The Cowgirls were totally blown away – seeing as they barely know how to turn on their laptop – so they decided to chat up this astute artist firsthand.

Another Week Without a Day Job
Comedian John Hastings takes us through his average, unemployed day.
EPISODE 9: Fire Drill.
I have made it through a fire… alarm. God what a pussy I am. But it’s true that the lapping, burning flames of God’s Fury don’t scare me half as much as that piercing, annoying ring making me want to load my mouth with razor blades and bite down hard. The day started innocently enough: I wandered into my local library to take advantage of the air conditioning and high-speed Internet. And okay, to lick a contagious homeless person so I’d have an excuse to chat up the sexy nurses at Mount Sinai later.

Toronto’s Stilting Sisters Stand Tall.
Our interview with Cherisse Thurab – stilt dancer and teacher.
Cherisse and Cheronne Thurab are typical sisters. They do their makeup together, pick out pants together – the only difference is that their makeup is fluorescent, and their pants are nine feet long. Why? Because these sisters are stilt dancers. The Cowgirls sat down with Cherisse to ask how she got into this wild form of contemporary dance, if it hurts when she falls, and what the weather’s really like up there.
