Bent on Lent.
Today marks the beginning of Lent. And we’re taking a double hit.
As you may remember, we took Peta’s 30-day vegetarian challenge back in September. We completed it, but unfortunately inhaled a party sized basket of chicken wings on the 30th night. The thing is, we’ve grown up eating and appreciating meat (free-range as well as organic). But as much as we love animals, it’s just been so freaking difficult to neglect our omnivorous instincts. So we’ll try again – for the sake of Lent. No more meat until Easter. But there’s a twist:

How Warren Goldstein became Denim Guru and Toronto A-Lister.
Warren Goldstein knew what he wanted right from high school – and he most definitely succeeded at getting it. Since launching his company Shop and Save at only 23 years old, he’s been jet-setting to L.A., Miami and New York, meeting various Hollywood A-Listers along the way. You’ll most likely find him working at his high end store Branded Boutique or in the V.I.P at one of Toronto’s hottest clubs. But don’t let the impressive lifestyle fool you, he’s actually as down to Earth as it gets. So how does he do it? And how does he always manage to get on the red carpet standing next to Paris Hilton? We wanted to find out.

Alexander the Great
One of fashion’s greatest designers tragically committed suicide yesterday.
The self-titled “Pink Sheep” of the family, Lee McQueen, was best known for his controversial designs. His fame escalated when he designed a jacket for Prince Charles containing the words “I am a cunt” scribbled on the lining. His collections were known to push boundaries to extremes, forcing fragile models to face their biggest challenges walking down the catwalk (12 inch heels, 60 pound bodices, etc.) This four-time winner of the British Designer of the Year award will be greatly missed, but his inspiring creations will live on forever. Long live the Queen.
