The art of the interview takes an entire lifetime to perfect. There are the ones you ace, the ones you wait by the phone for, and sadly, the ones you walk away from with pursed lips. Here are ten ways to totally screw up an interview:

1. When asked of your weaknesses, you give any answer other than: “I just work too hard.”
2. You ask about compensation before being offered paperwork.
3. You under dress in order to appear “cool” and “edgy”.
4. When offered coffee, you agree to it. (Nervousness + Coffee = Bowel Explosions).
5. You check your phone. Isn’t that where you keep your resume?
6. You jokingly admit to your various addictions and faults.
7. You explain how their fluorescent lighting causes headaches.
8. You left your old job due to “irreconsilable differences”.
9. You ask if The Office was taped here.
10. You leave your coat on… to save time.
