The Best Sticky Toffee Pudding in Toronto

Courtesy of mushypony.com
When you get a sugar craving, and we mean a seriously sweet sugar craving, there’s no dessert better than sticky toffee pudding. The cowgirls hunted around Toronto to see which restaurants had mastered this dessert, and eventually found one place that was irresistibly sweet. The Monks Table (previously known as Abbott on the Hill) is known for its diverse beer selection and delicious meals – they make the Firken pub chain look like a McDonalds. But the real hidden gem is their sticky toffee pudding. It’s so delicious, that we couldn’t even get a proper photo of it. Hot, sticky, melty, goodness that’s perfectly brutal for your body, but in such a small portion that you don’t feel so sinful afterwards. We recommend getting it with a pint of Chiswick ale. Check it out for yourself; The Monks Table is located at 1276 Yonge St. (by Summerhill station) (416) 920-7037

It’s Clothing Show time!!
It only comes twice a year, but grab your bags and your cash and get on over to the Ex!

The Clothing Show isn’t so much a “show” rather than it is a brief moment of shopping insanity that only comes twice a year. You have 3 days, and an obscene amount of vintage to go through – as well as local designers showcasing their works. Here, you’ll find Chanel, Ferragamo, and Burberry shoes for $20. Fur shawls (real vintage) at barely $30, Wool blazers for $30 (some are from the Soviet Union) and authentic Burberry trench coats at $80. Ladies and Gents, this is your weekend escape.

Coffee and Cupcakes with Brandon Pitts
By our coffee-addict cowgirl: Iddie Fourka

With our hair still drenched from the summer rain, my friend and I retreated to the mysterious, popsicle-coloured ‘Prana Coffee shop‘, which had just opened on Dundas West. We were quickly greeted by Brandon Pitts (the shop’s co-owner), who’d just concocted a Chai latté so tasty (with such bittersweet loose-leaves) that our taste buds demanded a second cup.

The Verdict is in: Eddie is Silly
Much Music’s Video on Trial and Love Court host: Eddie Della Siepe

Courtesy of Eddie Della Siepe
Like many comedians, Eddie Della Siepe started at the bottom. Had the audience known then that the 17 year old boy they were booing at would turn out to be the host of several shows on Much Music and frequently hosting tours across Canada for Yuk Yuk‘s Comedy Club – they’d probably feel a little silly. But that’s what Eddie prides himself on: the ability to be silly.
Sitting with this rising star to talk about his new show: Love Court, I wanted to know what happens on his own dates. What would the jury have to say about them? Let’s start at the beginning, when he decided to venture into the terrifying world of comedy.
